Dr Harriette Van Spall is an internationally known cardiologist, research methodologist, and senior scientist. She serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at McMaster University, a Senior Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute, and Director of Implementation Science at the Baim Institute for Clinical Research in Boston.

Tariq Ahmad
Chief of Heart Failure
Dr Tariq Ahmad is Chief of Heart Failure at Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr Ahmad is a cardiologist who specialises in treating patients with end-stage heart failure and heart transplants. He also cares for patients with cardiomyopathies, which are diseases of the heart muscle, and advanced valvular diseases.
Jozine ter Maaten
Cardiologist
Dr Jozine ter Maaten is a cardiologist at the University Medical Center Groningen, specializing in acute heart failure. Her research focuses on understanding congestion and improving diuretic response and outcomes in patients with this condition. Dr ter Maaten completed her PhD on 'Diuretic response and renal biomarkers in heart failure' in 2016 and has since been actively involved in research. She received a Mandema grant, enabling her to conduct a successful prospective study on renal blood flow in acute heart failure patients during her postdoc in Genk, Belgium.
