Biography

Dr Nandan S Anavekar, MB, BCh, is Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, where he serves as a consultant in both the Cardiovascular and Radiology Departments. As the Program Director of the Adult Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship program, he is dedicated to postgraduate education and the advancement of the field.

Dr Anavekar is a board-certified expert in cardiovascular diseases and echocardiography. He has also completed fellowships in echocardiography and advanced cardiac imaging. With a focus on cardiac CT and MRI in congenital heart disease, he has a particular interest in cardiovascular physiology, especially hemodynamics.

Dr Anavekar's clinical expertise lies in managing diseases of the pericardium, aorta, and cardiac infections as well as critical care cardiology. He is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients and advancing the field of cardiovascular medicine through his research and teaching efforts.
