Who we are
Radcliffe Cardiology is a dynamic, digitally-focused producer & publisher of Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic (CVRM) content for physicians worldwide. We aim to assist in the continuous education of physicians within the cardiology fraternity, generating a range of clinical content through collaboration with leading cardiologists from around the globe.
Why we exist
To continually push the boundaries of cardiovascular education through collaboration with global innovation leaders.
To become the most respected digital resource of independent, expert-led cardiovascular education through the provision of a personalised learning experience.
Our Journals & Content
Alongside our digital and multimedia content, we provide access to the latest academic research via an open access platform and produce independent peer-reviewed content through the following industry-leading review journals:
- Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review (AER)
- Cardiac Failure Review (CFR)
- European Cardiology Review (ECR)
- Interventional Cardiology Review (ICR)
- US Cardiology Review (USC)
Radcliffe Cardiology also has a dedicated eLearning platform, RC Academy, which uses innovative platforms to host digital webinars, live case broadcasts and video roundtable discussions which help our community of 75,000 cardiologists keep up-to-date with the latest opinion, guidance and innovation in cardiovascular medicine.
Our journals are tri or bi-annual and comprise review articles that summarize and critique original research; provide editorials, expert opinion pieces and in some cases, meta-analyses.
Each journal is supported by a Peer Review Board of over 100 leading physicians and healthcare professionals from across the cardiology fraternity. Comprehensive bibliographies for each article mean that all issues are informative and can be used as valuable reference tools and may be found indexed in PubMed, CrossRef and Scopus.
We endeavour to publish unbiased, balanced articles and follow the recommendations provided by the ICMJE and the Good Publication Practice (GPP3) guidelines. Please refer to our Instructions for Authors document here for further detail.
Our peer review process
To ensure accuracy of published content within our journals, all articles are subject to a double-blind peer review. Reviewers are selected based on their clinical expertise and are recognised authorities within the field. Following review, manuscripts are either accepted without modification, accepted pending modification, or may require further revision, in which case the manuscripts may be returned to the author(s) to incorporate required changes, or may be rejected outright. Not all articles that are revised are subsequently accepted. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to accept or reject any proposed amendments.
Our funding model
Radcliffe Cardiology provides free educational content to cardiologists and allied healthcare professionals via our gold open access publishing model. To support open access publication costs, Radcliffe Cardiology and Radcliffe Vascular charge an Article Publication Charge (APC) to authors upon acceptance of an unsolicited paper. More details on these charges can be found in the Information for Authors section on the Journal pages..
The vast majority of our content is editorially independent, developed at our own cost. However, we do collaborate and receive funding from select industry partners in the following ways; all sources of such funding are fully declared on all these materials:
- Print and eBook adverts at the front and back of the journals (never within the journal text)
- Web banner advertising
- Interstitial adverts
- Pre-roll video adverts (as pre-cursors to our independent content)
- Promotional/supplemental content (published as supplements to our peer-reviewed journals)
- Supported webinars, roundtable discussions, video interviews and live cases
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities
